We all know those incredible individuals who quietly make a huge impact on our businesses and working lives. They’re the hidden gems, the ones who go above and beyond without expecting recognition. Traditional awards often miss the mark, focusing on high fees 💰 and competitiveness 💸 that can leave runners-up feeling undervalued and deflated.

That’s why I’m thrilled to launch The Ducks In A Row Everyday Excellence Awards, an initiative designed to celebrate real contributors in an authentic and accessible way.

Here’s your chance to say thank you to someone you simply couldn’t do without. 🎉 Imagine the joy and surprise when your nominee is recognised for their work completely out of the blue. The feeling when someone is acknowledged for all the hard work and dedication they put in day in and day out. That moment when they realise that the difference they make hasn’t gone unnoticed. It’s a recognition that can uplift their spirits and validate everything they do behind the scenes.

    How the awards work:

    1️⃣ Nominate Your Champion
Send me your nomination with a brief write-up explaining why this person deserves recognition. Please include an email address you know they would be happy to share.

    2️⃣ Celebrate Together
For £35, you’ll sponsor your winner for a special evening event on 9th June at 6 PM (venue TBC in Ipswich or Woodbridge). They’ll receive a welcome drink, canapés, and a certificate to honour their impact. (The £35 fee covers event costs and their certificate whether they can attend or not).

    3️⃣ Join the Celebration
I would love for you as the nominee to join us for the celebration night! For an additional £30 come along and join the fun, and celebrate with all the recognised ‘winners’.

    The Timeline:

📅 Nominations Close: Friday, 28th March 2025 (or sooner if 50 nominations are received).

📅 Invoices Sent: 31st March (payment due by 11th April).

📅 Award Recipients Notified: 14th April.

Taking place on Friday, 11th July, this exciting celebration along Felixstowe’s stunning prom is all about celebrating individuals for who they are—not their limitations.

We all know someone affected by a disability, whether physical or hidden. That’s why we’d love your support in spreading the word, joining us on the day, and helping us create an event to remember.

    What to Expect:

    • vibrant procession along the Prom, starting at SeaYou and concluding at the Felixstowe Leisure Centre.
    • Exhibitions, stalls, and performances highlighting local talent and resources, hosted in and around the Felixstowe Leisure Centre.
    • Opportunities to volunteer, sponsor, and engage with our community.

    Who We Are:

Ian Bell, founder of Suffolk Mobility Solutions, and I have come together to create Suffolk Mobility Events, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to hosting inclusive, meaningful events in Suffolk. Ian’s journey, inspired by his wife’s life-changing stroke 13 years ago, and my background in project and event management, have driven us to make Felixstowe Disability Pride a day that celebrates resilience, inclusion, and joy.

    Support Our Cause:

We truly believe this event can make a difference, and your help is vital to its success. Whether by:

    • Becoming a sponsor to help us fund essential items like banners and T-shirts
    • Volunteering your time to assist on the day
    • Displaying a poster to promote the event (attached)

    or

    • Simply spreading the word within your network

Your support will ensure we can bring this vision to life.

Proceeds will go to two incredible charities:

    • ActivLives: Promoting accessible sports and exercise in Suffolk.
    • Suffolk Mind: Supporting mental health and invisible disabilities.

We’ve attached our pitch deck and sponsorship packages for you to explore the various ways you can contribute.

We are encouraging attendees to register on Eventbrite so we can gauge attendance numbers for the day. We are asking for a donation (of any amount), which includes an exclusive T-shirt to collect on the morning of the event. Every penny, from £1 to £100 and beyond, will make a difference and help support these incredible charities.  The registration link can be FOUND HERE.

    Get in Touch:

The official email address for the event is felixstowedisabilitypride@gmail.com, but I wanted to personally reach out to you, so that you know this is genuinely me asking for your help and support!  Our new website is currently under construction and will be added to all of our future comms when it is complete (www.felixstowedisabilitypride.co.uk).

If you feel you can help in any way, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we can make Felixstowe Disability Pride 2025 a truly unforgettable celebration.
