San is a Wizard

San is a wizard, she truly is. The hardest part of grooming a cat, I imagine, is getting the cat to trust you and let you groom them – and this is where she really shines. She took her time, built up the trust and (while I won’t say Maeve enjoyed it), it was far less stressful than any previous attempts.

Maeve isn’t the greatest at grooming herself and, with the summer heatwave, her undercoat was matting. San managed to comb her through completely, removing much of the undercoat without needing to shave much of her at all – only a couple of bald spots, which was much better than we feared.

All in all, it was a revolutionary experience. I look forward to working with San for a long time to keep Maeve feeling comfortable and do the deep grooming she deeply needs. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has the patience of a saint and you can tell that she really loves each and every cat she works with.
