Harriets is a family owned, fully independent Café Tearooms which opened its doors for the first time in Bury St Edmunds in 2001.  The first Tearooms was founded on the principles of good food and good service with the true inspiration dating back many more years to the days of the Lyons Cornerhouses and a visit by Harriets Grandmother. Stories being passed down through two generations always serving as reminders of what the Harriets brand stands for.

Harriets added a Cambridge Tearooms in 2012 shortly followed by Norwich in 2015. Whilst the Cambridge Tearooms was closed after 10 fun years, Bury St Edmunds and Norwich remain at the heart.

The Tearooms have always served traditional breakfasts, light lunches and afternoon teas with macaroons, fondant fancies and handmade cakes sure to tempt you 364 days a year. Whatever time of day our customers visit, we always make it our mission to please, providing a welcome break or a preferred meeting destination.

The latest products introduced include an Afternoon Tea Box, delivered to most destinations in the UK. Born at a difficult time for everyone during Covid, Harriets sent it’s first box on Mothers Day 2020 shortly after being ordered to temporarily shut its doors. Keeping in touch with our customers during this period was so important for us all and we have been delighted to keep in touch ever since with the addition of new delights such as Cream Teas, Picnics and Cake Variety boxes.
